TOPIC: VENTILATION

A) DEFINITION
     
Ventilation is the process of supplying or removing air by natural or mechanical means to and from a space.



B)REQUIREMENT FOR MECHANICAL VENTILATION OR AIR-CONDITIONING
  1. Internal rooms
  2. Large, closely, populated rooms where distribution of natural ventilation is inadequate.
  3. Where natural ventilation cannot be provided because of external air pollution or noise.
  4. Extract ventilation (fumes or smell from cooking etc).
  5. Tall building.
